This research article examines the intensified humanitarian crisis faced by Afghan refugees following the collapse of the Afghan Republic's government in 2021. It outlines the challenges encountered by these refugees, particularly in Pakistan, where a significant policy shift has led to forced deportations. The study employs archival analysis and secondary data to document the socio-economic, legal, and human rights issues that Afghan refugees are experiencing. It highlights the impact of Pakistan's new refugee policies, which are driven by security concerns and resource constraints, further exacerbating the plight of these individuals. The research identifies key findings that emphasize the need for gender-sensitive strategies and the active involvement of the international community. Additionally, it discusses the changing demographics of displacement and the urgent need for comprehensive policy-making and humanitarian responses to address the evolving conditions and challenges faced by Afghan refugees. This study aims to fill existing knowledge gaps and inform future actions regarding the Afghan refugee situation.
