Digital Solution for Competency Management Case Study

This case study outlines Syngenta's implementation of a digital solution for competency management, focusing on health, safety, and environment (HSE) compliance across its global operations. The myCompetence project was initiated to standardize processes and frameworks for competency management at their Crop Protection manufacturing sites. After evaluating various options, Syngenta selected Comaea as their partner due to its expertise in competency management within hazardous industries. The deployment began with a pilot site in Grangemouth, Scotland, where significant achievements included issuing over 250 certificates and onboarding more than 350 users. The solution integrates with existing HR and learning management systems, enhancing the efficiency of competency assessments and training for HSE professionals. The success of the project has led to requests for expanding the Comaea solution to other areas beyond HSE. Looking ahead, Syngenta plans to continue deploying Comaea across additional sites and business functions to further enhance competency management.
