This case study details the transformation of Vision Healthcare's omnichannel commerce strategy across its 75 brands. Vision Healthcare, a European consumer healthcare platform, aimed to enhance personal health and well-being through a digital-first approach. The company faced challenges with its previous open-source solution, which required extensive customizations and limited scalability. To address these issues, Vision Healthcare migrated to a commercetools Composable Commerce platform powered by MACH architecture. This transition allowed for the integration of independent components, including GraphQL, Hygraph, Adyen, and Algolia, facilitating a seamless omnichannel experience. The implementation took four months, resulting in the launch of 16 new websites and the ability to handle up to 25,000 transactions daily. The new cloud-native architecture eliminated the need for on-premise IT maintenance, enabling the company to scale efficiently and focus on customer experience. Overall, the case study illustrates how Vision Healthcare successfully leveraged composable commerce to meet evolving customer demands.
