This technical report details the deployment of a modern network infrastructure at Coca-Cola's new 170,000-square-foot distribution center in Raleigh, North Carolina. The facility's previous Category 6 infrastructure was inadequate for modern edge devices and automation needs. To address this, CommScope collaborated with Pavion to implement the Constellation platform, which streamlined the network by replacing multiple intermediate distribution frames with a centralized main distribution frame. This change not only reduced construction costs by approximately $45,000 but also enhanced the facility's ability to support a wide range of edge devices. The report outlines the project's phased completion, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between Pavion and Coca-Cola's IT team during installation and system startup. The Constellation infrastructure allows for scalability and flexibility, accommodating future technological advancements without significant retrofitting. The deployment has set a standard for Coca-Cola's bottling division, with plans for replication in other facilities.
