This case study details the implementation of Commvault Cloud Rewind by a global cloud solutions provider to enhance application resilience and achieve a 99.9% service level agreement (SLA) for cloud applications. The provider faced challenges in managing multiple complex systems for data backup, disaster recovery, and application resilience after migrating to the cloud. The solution aimed to simplify operations by replacing four separate systems with a unified cloud-native infrastructure. Commvault Cloud Rewind was adopted to streamline the backup and recovery process, significantly reducing application downtime risks while improving SLA guarantees. The results included a reduction in complexity, avoidance of vendor lock-in, and substantial cost savings. The CTO of the provider noted that the integrated service allowed them to meet strict recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO), thereby enhancing overall operational efficiency and data sovereignty compliance.
