This case study details ECU Worldwide's transition to a cloud-based infrastructure utilizing Commvault Cloud Rewind to enhance its disaster recovery capabilities and improve service quality. Operating in a competitive international supply chain environment, ECU Worldwide faced challenges with manual backup processes and the risk of downtime affecting customer satisfaction. To address these issues, the company migrated its production environment to cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud and Microsoft Azure, implementing Cloud Rewind for rapid recovery from potential outages. The solution enabled comprehensive disaster recovery across all cloud workloads, significantly simplifying management and reducing operational complexity. As a result, ECU Worldwide achieved a recovery point objective (RPO) of less than 15 minutes and a recovery time objective (RTO) of under four hours, minimizing downtime and data loss. The case study illustrates how the adoption of Cloud Rewind has transformed ECU Worldwide's disaster recovery strategy, leading to cost savings and improved service delivery.
