This case study outlines the collaboration between State Schools’ Relief (SSR) and Compnow to enhance educational opportunities for disadvantaged students in Victoria. SSR, a not-for-profit organization, has been providing support to underprivileged students since 1930, initially focusing on uniforms and expanding to technology needs due to the increasing importance of devices in education. The partnership with Compnow aims to maximize the impact of limited funding by utilizing Compnow's procurement services to supply laptops, iPads, and protective cases. Over the course of the program, SSR has supplied more than 5,000 laptops and 3,000 internet USBs, which were crucial during the Covid lockdowns. The initiative also included providing iPads to non-verbal children in special schools, enabling them to communicate more effectively. The case study emphasizes the importance of these contributions in improving educational outcomes and ensuring that disadvantaged students have access to necessary technology.
