Cybersecurity Enhancement for Healthcare System

This case study outlines the cybersecurity enhancement efforts undertaken by a large hospital system in collaboration with Compucom, Cisco, and Stratejm. The hospital, which is a teaching facility and the largest health service provider in its area, faced significant challenges following a malware incident that exposed vulnerabilities in its IT infrastructure. The document details the identified action priorities, including the creation of an incident response plan and a business continuity plan, as well as the implementation of security measures to enhance Active Directory security and prevent password-related attacks. The solutions deployed included Cisco Umbrella for threat protection, Cisco Secure Email for email security, and Cisco Duo for multi-factor authentication. Additionally, Stratejm provided managed security services, including security information and event management and threat intelligence monitoring.
