This document is a case study detailing the collaboration between Computacenter and a leading enterprise software provider to establish a centralized cloud security management system. The customer operates multiple cloud instances developed in isolation, leading to inconsistent access controls. Computacenter was engaged to create a standardized access control mechanism and a unified Cloud Reference Architecture. The project involved system analysis to identify common configuration requirements across cloud instances, followed by the design and implementation of a new architecture. This architecture aims to enhance security through centralized management, providing greater control over IaaS platforms and establishing a solid baseline for future cloud environments. Key deliverables include a comprehensive analysis of services, a new architecture for identified infrastructure, and the facilitation of risk mitigation through improved information exchange among security teams. The unified framework is intended to standardize future cloud deployments, making them more agile and secure.
