This document is a case study detailing the implementation of a modern cloud security architecture for a large health insurance company based in Germany. The organization recognized the need for enhanced user access security due to an increase in remote work and the adoption of cloud operating models. To address these challenges, the company sought to establish a cloud operating model that would support secure user access to various cloud services. The consultancy firm Computacenter was engaged to assist in planning and executing the new security architecture. The project involved conducting Proof of Concepts with multiple vendors to select the most suitable solution. A modern Security Service Edge (SSE) was designed, incorporating web security, Firewall as a Service, and Zero Trust Network Access. The deliverables included blueprints for architectural implementation and migration strategies from legacy systems to the new cloud platform, ensuring compliance with stringent financial regulations. The engagement resulted in improved security posture and operational efficiencies.
