This document is a case study detailing the network infrastructure modernization project undertaken by the ALH Group, a German financial services provider. The objective was to relocate one of its data centers to a new building while ensuring high performance and stability in network operations. Computacenter was commissioned to provide comprehensive network support, which included advising on infrastructure selection, supplying hardware, and ensuring end-to-end services through a partnership with Cisco. The project involved the design and implementation of a new data center network, planning for WAN connections, and introducing automation functions to enhance operational efficiency. Key deliverables included the selection of Cisco's Application Centric Infrastructure and the development of migration plans. The implementation of these technologies aimed to increase flexibility, safety, and operational quality, ultimately allowing ALH to better manage its complex infrastructure and meet evolving business needs.
