This document is a case study detailing the implementation of an automated claims processing solution by Computershare for HCF, Australia's largest not-for-profit health fund. The objective of the project was to enhance HCF's claims experience by automating the document scanning and data extraction components of their claims process. The existing manual processes required significant administrative effort, which detracted from claims assessment roles. The Automated Health Claims (AHC) solution was designed to address these inefficiencies by automating the classification, OCR data extraction, and validation of incoming claims. The solution allows for increased flexibility in managing inbound volumes, ensuring timely processing without backlogs. It also enables HCF staff to focus on claims assessment rather than administrative tasks, thus improving overall productivity. The case study outlines the successful partnership between HCF and Computershare, highlighting the positive outcomes and ongoing improvements in the claims processing workflow.
