This case study details the collaboration between Transflo and Connectria to modernize Transflo's infrastructure. Transflo, a leader in mobile and telematics solutions for the transportation industry, faced challenges with their existing data center and high availability (HA) solutions. The objective was to exit their data center within five months while ensuring improved scalability and reliability. Connectria conducted a comprehensive discovery assessment and facilitated the migration of Transflo's IBM i and x86 environments to a fully managed hosting solution. The results included a 98% improvement in systems availability and the successful meeting of the data center exit timeline. The solution involved creating an active-active IBM i cluster utilizing DB2 Mirror, which is a pioneering approach in Transflo's segment. The partnership allowed Transflo to enhance operational efficiency and significantly reduce downtime during maintenance events, enabling them to focus on future infrastructure development.
