Brenntag SAP Roll-Out Project for Wellstar Group

This document is a case study detailing the Brenntag SAP roll-out project for the Wellstar Group. The project aimed to implement a standardized data and process model across the Brenntag organization to enhance compliance and mitigate organizational risks. The scope included three legal entities and required addressing specific legal requirements in China while migrating data from a legacy system. Convista consultants facilitated the knowledge transfer from the Brenntag China team, defining the SAP organization structure and identifying gaps in processes. The project followed a structured methodology, ensuring quality through defined phases and tasks. The successful go-live of the project allowed Wellstar to adopt the Brenntag SAP system, improving operational efficiency and reducing manual efforts in finance reconciliation. The case study emphasizes the importance of thorough preparation and trial data migration to minimize risks during the final cut-over, ensuring a smooth transition to the new system.
