Assessment and Migration of Servers to Azure Stack HCI

This case study details the partnership between a customer operating over 2,000 servers across multiple geolocations and Corent for a comprehensive server assessment and migration from VMware to Azure Stack HCI. The project utilized Migration as a Service (MaaS) to conduct detailed assessments and ensure a seamless migration process. The study outlines the challenges faced, including executing the project within an embedded security model and managing the analysis of complex datacenters. It describes the implementation of a private installation of MaaS, which adhered to strict security protocols, and the deployment of customized cloud Knowledge Bases for accurate assessment data. The case study also highlights the benefits of optimized workload provisioning, migration risk analysis, capacity planning, and data security measures that were integral to the project. The successful completion of the migration resulted in high levels of customer satisfaction, demonstrating the effectiveness of the MaaS solution in transforming the customer's IT infrastructure.
