This technical report details the efforts of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) in managing spectrum during the World Expo held in Dubai from October 2021 to March 2022. The event brought together participants from 192 countries and presented significant challenges in spectrum monitoring, including frequency allocation, interference geolocation, and ensuring safe operations. The TDRA deployed a network of six RF receivers designed to function in extreme temperatures, ensuring continuous operation. The report outlines the critical tasks involved in managing spectrum at large events, such as coordinating communications, managing high-density Wi-Fi environments, and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The deployment utilized RFeye technology for real-time monitoring and automated tasks, allowing TDRA to respond proactively to interference issues. The report concludes with the successful performance of the RFeye system, which continued to operate effectively even under harsh conditions, leading to its permanent installation in the UAE for ongoing spectrum management.
