This case study details the recruitment process improvements implemented by Atlas Hotels, a hospitality company operating 59 hotels in the UK. The objective was to enhance hiring efficiency and the quality of hires by reducing the administrative burden on hotel managers. Atlas Hotels transitioned to using Criteria's assessments, specifically the General Aptitude Mobile Evaluation (GAME) and Employee Personality Profile (EPP), to streamline candidate selection. The results of a validation study indicated a strong correlation between the assessments and key performance metrics such as employee retention, engagement, and customer satisfaction. Employees who met the assessment score ranges exhibited longer tenure and higher engagement levels. The study also highlighted the effective integration of the assessment process with the company's applicant tracking system (ATS), which significantly reduced shortlisting time and improved candidate quality. Overall, the case study illustrates how a data-driven approach to hiring can lead to substantial operational benefits and enhanced outcomes for the hotels.
