CAHG Cold Chain Warehouse Optimization Project

This case study details the optimization project of the CAHG Cold Chain warehouse located in Beijing-Tianjin Logistics Park. Established in 2007, CAHG (Tianjin) International Trading Co., Ltd. focuses on the import and export of frozen food and logistics services. The project aimed to fully utilize the 11,000 sqm warehouse space while considering construction costs, energy consumption, and product size variations. Various solutions were evaluated, including a very narrow aisle (VNA) system, four-way shuttle, and cargo elevator. Ultimately, a VNA solution was selected, utilizing Crown as the forklift supplier due to their product reliability. The completed warehouse features an 18-meter height with a rack area capable of storing 15,800 pallets. The facility includes a cold storage cabin for operator comfort and a fleet of Crown forklifts to enhance operational efficiency. The project emphasizes the importance of stability, reliability, and safety in cold storage operations.
