This technical report presents a benchmark analysis of the user experience (UX) across four competitor beauty and cosmetics websites: Clinique, Fresh, Lush, and Sephora. The analysis is based on a conversion-focused methodology that evaluates the overall user experience as a composite of five UX dimensions: Appearance, Clarity, Usability, Credibility, and Loyalty. The benchmarking process involves testing the live websites with real users performing specific tasks, followed by a standardized questionnaire to log their experiences. The report details the methodology, including participant demographics and the tasks assigned during testing, and outlines how the BenchmarkUX approach provides a quantitative perspective on user experience. The findings indicate that while all sites scored above average in appearance, usability emerged as a significant challenge for eCommerce mobile websites, with varying performance across the tested brands.
