Energy Monitoring HVAC Installation for Multi-Tenant Office

This case study details the implementation of a flexible HVAC installation with energy monitoring at the EDGE Amsterdam West office building. The project aimed to achieve BREEAM Outstanding certification, necessitating insight into energy flows. The Danfoss solution, featuring the NovoCon® S ChangeOver6 Energy digital IoT actuators combined with AB-QM pressure independent balancing and control valves, facilitates a dynamic hydronic balance essential for energy efficiency. The design allows for minimal installation interventions when modifying office spaces, enhancing flexibility for tenants. The system provides real-time energy usage data, enabling early detection of malfunctions and stealth consumption. This proactive approach aids in reducing complaints and optimizing operational costs. The study outlines the advantages of using Danfoss products, including quicker installation processes and the ability to close ceilings earlier in construction, thereby saving costs.
