This case study details the engagement between Brisbane Catholic Education and Business Aspect to enhance the supplier onboarding strategy. The objective was to analyze and determine the best approach for supplier onboarding, which involved a comprehensive market scan of potential vendor solutions. The incumbent contract management system was found inadequate, prompting a broader scope that included full vendor management recommendations. The process involved workshops with stakeholders to gather insights and assess various vendors against defined functional and non-functional requirements. The analysis revealed the need for a more integrated solution rather than maintaining separate systems for onboarding and contract management. Ultimately, the project was paused to consider a holistic approach that would address both current and future needs, ensuring cost efficiency and effective vendor lifecycle management. The collaboration highlighted the importance of expert consultancy in navigating complex technology decisions and fostering informed decision-making.
