This research article investigates the relationship between personality traits and performance outcomes in a financial sales organization. The study aims to identify which personality traits and values predict employee performance and retention, as well as the impact of including values data alongside personality assessments. The dataset analyzed includes 4,170 employees, with a focus on 1,981 individuals who had relevant sales performance data. The findings indicate that conscientiousness is a significant predictor of sales performance, with high performers exhibiting higher levels of discipline and achievement motivation. Additionally, the study reveals that values alignment plays a crucial role in employee retention, suggesting that organizations should consider both personality and values when making hiring decisions. The article emphasizes the importance of regularly updating performance profiles to reflect changing team dynamics and market conditions. Overall, the research highlights the value of integrating personality and values assessments to enhance hiring and development strategies in financial services.
