Modernizing ERP Security and Governance at Alltech

This case study outlines Alltech's migration from AX 2012/GP to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management in 2021, focusing on enhancing security and auditing capabilities. The transition provided an opportunity to modernize security processes and implement new controls with minimal disruption. Alltech selected Fastpath as the vendor to consolidate auditing and access control. The case study details the implementation of Fastpath Change Tracking, Access Review, Access Provisioning, and Telemetry Data, which improved visibility and oversight across the organization. Significant improvements were noted in the access review process, transitioning from manual data extraction to automated reviews assigned to knowledgeable role owners. This shift has increased accountability and efficiency, allowing business managers to approve access requests and conduct reviews with reduced IT support. The study concludes with Alltech's ongoing efforts to strengthen its security posture by refining role design and enhancing compliance through insights gained from Fastpath Telemetry Data.
