This case study details the repair of a deteriorated silo foundation at a facility in Rensselaer, IN, which was critical for supporting fertilizer and grain storage operations. The project involved the removal and replacement of approximately 50 feet of damaged concrete due to long-term exposure to moisture, chemicals, and environmental stress. The repair team from Green Future Structural Innovations utilized Denso 190DP Epoxy Grout, a high-performance alternative to traditional concrete, to restore structural integrity while minimizing downtime. The repair process included saw-cutting and square-cutting the damaged concrete, followed by mixing and pouring the epoxy grout up to 18 inches deep. Unlike conventional concrete, the epoxy grout cured within hours, allowing for the application of an epoxy topcoat on the same day. This approach resulted in a durable repair solution that offers superior strength, adhesion, and resistance to chemical exposure, water intrusion, and harsh weather conditions, thereby enhancing the longevity of the repair.
