OneMain Financial SIEM Solution Implementation

This case study details the implementation of a next-generation Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution at OneMain Financial. The organization, which operates in the consumer finance and insurance sectors, faced challenges with its previous SIEM, LogRhythm, which could not effectively integrate cloud data sources or support the company's growing security needs. As a result, OneMain Financial sought a modern solution to enhance visibility and compliance across its security landscape. The selection process led to the adoption of the Devo Platform and AWS, which met the requirements for centralized security analytics and real-time data querying. The integration of these technologies has improved OneMain's ability to monitor network and endpoint activities, perform forensic investigations, and maintain compliance. The case study outlines how the new system has provided significant advantages, including enhanced visibility into web traffic and endpoint statistics, as well as the capability to retain data for over 400 days, surpassing competitors' offerings.
