This case study details the implementation of the Dewesoft SIRIUS data acquisition (DAQ) system at the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Propulsion Complex. The SIRIUS DAQ system is characterized by its ability to integrate various sensor types and provide precise measurements for aerospace propulsion research. The document outlines the challenges faced by ISRO with their previous measurement systems, which included ambiguities and manual tuning processes that led to erroneous results. The introduction of the SIRIUS system addressed these issues by offering built-in features such as channel-to-channel galvanic isolation, dual-core ADC technology, and automated data processing capabilities. The case study highlights the successful integration of over 200 sensors and the transition to a more efficient automated system, improving measurement accuracy and reducing manual intervention. Furthermore, it emphasizes the collaborative efforts between Dewesoft engineers and ISRO scientists in developing tailored measurement solutions for mission-critical applications.
