The paper details the results of a 720-hour salt mist test on five different platings: silver, white bronze, SURO720, tin-nickel, and electroless nickel-phosphorus. It outlines the performance characteristics of each plating, noting that silver plating offers the best contact resistance, while electroless nickel-phosphorus demonstrates superior wear resistance. The findings indicate that SURO720 meets critical requirements for corrosion, solderability, and electrical performance, making it a viable alternative to traditional platings.
