This case study outlines the transformation of trans-o-flex's IT infrastructure through the implementation of a hybrid cloud strategy. The company, which specializes in logistics solutions for sensitive goods, faced challenges with its on-premises data center in Weinheim, which could no longer meet security and performance requirements. In response, trans-o-flex sought a co-location provider in Frankfurt, enabling direct access to necessary internet nodes and cloud access points. The case study details the partnership with NTT, which provided secure tier 3 data center facilities and a disaster recovery solution. The implementation involved transferring the data center operations to Frankfurt and utilizing the Technology Experience Lab for testing. Following successful tests, the system was launched, demonstrating improved performance and reliability. The case study emphasizes the importance of a robust IT infrastructure in supporting high-demand logistics operations and highlights the successful collaboration between trans-o-flex and NTT.
