This case study details the collaboration between the Borough of Closter and Daida to enhance the management of Building Department records through document digitization and cloud-based solutions. The primary objective was to convert paper records into searchable electronic files, thereby improving accessibility and compliance with New Jersey DORES requirements. Daida implemented a secure document management solution that facilitated the digitization, organization, and secure management of these records. Key features included intelligent indexing, cloud storage, and built-in redaction capabilities. The solution addressed challenges such as the need for secure cloud storage, improved document retrieval, and reduced physical storage space. As a result, Daida now manages approximately 1.9 million document images, allowing staff to access records quickly from any location while enhancing overall efficiency and organization. The partnership has led to significant improvements in records management and compliance support.
