Princeton Municipality Document Modernization Case Study

This case study outlines the partnership between Princeton Municipality and Daida for a comprehensive document digitization and records modernization initiative. The project aimed to replace an outdated document management system and improve access to municipal records. Daida implemented a cloud-based document management solution that involved the digitization of over 2,500 boxes of records, including more than 600 boxes of construction permit applications. The initiative included intelligent indexing and the merging of legacy records with newly scanned images, resulting in a centralized repository for instant access to millions of records. The challenges addressed included enhancing OPRA response times and providing secure access to information across multiple municipal departments. The results demonstrated significant improvements in operational efficiency, with staff now able to fulfill OPRA requests quickly and access critical information 24/7. The project eliminated reliance on the legacy Alchemy platform and streamlined document management processes across various departments.
