This case study details the implementation of Domotz within The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT), a Multi-Academy Trust in the UK managing IT for approximately 25,000 students across 45 schools. Richard Connor, the IT Operations Lead, faced challenges due to a lack of centralized IT monitoring, which resulted in fragmented visibility and reactive management of IT issues. The introduction of Domotz aimed to enhance network visibility, streamline ticket management, and improve proactive issue detection. The integration of Domotz with Freshservice allowed for automated ticket handling, significantly reducing the workload on technicians. The results showed a marked improvement in operational efficiency, with the ability to monitor over 20,000 devices, reduce downtime, and enhance the overall quality of IT services. The proactive approach facilitated by Domotz not only improved internal relationships within TKAT but also positively impacted classroom productivity and trust in IT support, demonstrating its essential role in the education sector.
