This case study details the implementation of Domuso's digital payment platform by Aperto Property Management to enhance operational efficiency and improve rent collection processes. Aperto, managing over 18,000 apartment homes, recognized inefficiencies in traditional payment methods, which required manual entry and posed security risks. The transition to Domuso allowed for multiple digital payment options, significantly reducing the time property managers spent on payment processing and minimizing the risk of theft associated with physical checks. The results showed a substantial increase in the number of communities using the platform, from six to 88, and a high percentage of payments made via ACH transfers and cards. The case study emphasizes the positive reception from residents, who benefit from the convenience and security of digital payments, as well as the operational advantages for property managers. The findings illustrate how modernizing payment processes can lead to improved efficiency and enhanced experiences for both residents and management.
