This case study outlines the experience of Anglo-Eastern, a global provider of ship management services, in enhancing its data protection capabilities for Microsoft 365. The company initiated a digital transformation project in 2019, transitioning to Microsoft 365 for its 1,800 employees. However, reliance on Microsoft for data recovery exposed them to risks of data loss due to accidental deletion and ransomware. To address these challenges, Anglo-Eastern evaluated various backup solutions and ultimately selected Druva's cloud-native platform. The study details the implementation process, which included moving all users to the Druva platform in one day, and highlights the operational efficiencies gained. Results indicated a significant reduction in time spent managing backups, with a tenfold decrease compared to the previous solution. The case study also emphasizes the increased confidence among users regarding data security and the overall improvement in IT management processes, allowing the team to focus on broader business objectives.
