Marlotherm SH Heat Transfer Fluid Performance Analysis

This document is a technical report detailing the performance of Marlotherm SH heat transfer fluid used by VITEX in Greece for over 42 years. The report outlines the selection process for the heat transfer fluid, which was based on the specific operational requirements of a plant producing bituminous waterproofing materials. It explains that Marlotherm SH was chosen due to its synthetic composition, which offers improved thermal stability at high temperatures compared to mineral oils. The report also describes the annual sampling and analysis process conducted by Eastman to maintain the fluid's performance, facilitated by the Fluid Genius software. This software aids in monitoring the fluid's integrity and preventing potential issues related to flashpoints. The results indicate that the fluid has remained in good condition over the decades, emphasizing the importance of selecting the appropriate heat transfer fluid for operational longevity.
