This case study outlines the transformation of Banque Banorient France's payment infrastructure through collaboration with Eastnets. The bank, which serves clients across Europe and the Middle East, aimed to modernize its payment systems to comply with the UAE Central Bank’s National Payment Systems Strategy (NPSS) and its Instant Payment Platform (IPP) mandate. Key requirements included enabling 24/7 real-time transactions, adopting ISO 20022 messaging, and implementing advanced payment features such as proxy payments and Request to Pay (RTP). The bank faced challenges related to legacy systems, interoperability, and the need for robust fraud prevention. Eastnets provided a solution by implementing PaymentSafe NPSS v2.5, ensuring compliance with UAEIPP regulations while minimizing disruption. The results included enhanced operational efficiency, improved user experience, and stronger security measures, positioning the bank as a leader in digital payments within the UAE.
