Implementation of Edsby and Veracross at ASIJ

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of Edsby and Veracross at The American School in Japan (ASIJ). It outlines the challenges faced by ASIJ with its previous legacy systems, including a lack of integrated solutions for student information and learning management. The leadership team identified the need for a modernized system that could support standards-based grading, enhance communication among teachers and students, and provide access to essential student information. After evaluating various platforms, ASIJ selected Edsby for its comprehensive features, which included a gradebook for qualitative feedback and improved accessibility for teachers and students. Following the successful integration of Edsby, ASIJ transitioned to Veracross for its student information system, ensuring seamless data synchronization. The case study highlights the significant cost savings achieved through these implementations and the positive impact on the educational experience for students and staff. The integration of these systems is presented as a foundational element of ASIJ's teaching and learning infrastructure.
