This report is an impact assessment study of the Eicher Group Foundation's (EGF) financial support to Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH) for the COVID-19 Isolation Facility programme during the fiscal year 2021-2022. The initiative aimed to establish an isolation facility equipped with oxygen concentrators at SCEH in New Delhi to ensure uninterrupted eye care services during the pandemic. The report outlines the challenges faced during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly during the second wave in 2021, which led to critical shortages of medical facilities and oxygen in Delhi. It details the establishment of two isolation centers with 15 beds to provide safe medical care for SCEH employees. The evaluation conducted by Samhita Social Ventures assessed the outcomes of the programme, highlighting improvements in employee well-being and healthcare service delivery. The report concludes with recommendations for ongoing capacity-building initiatives and the development of an integrated emergency response plan for future health crises.
