Impact Assessment of Eicher Motor Limited's CSR Program

This report presents the impact assessment of Eicher Motor Limited's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aimed at enhancing school infrastructure in rural Tamil Nadu. The project focuses on improving student well-being and learning environments while ensuring access to basic amenities. Implemented by Rural Education and Action for Liberation (REAL), the intervention has targeted four government schools in Cuddalore district, addressing gaps in classroom infrastructure, furniture, sanitation, and drinking water facilities. The assessment involved 126 students from Grades 3 to 8, with a high attendance rate of 98.4%. Findings indicate significant improvements in classroom conditions, with 100% of participants acknowledging visible enhancements. The study also evaluated hygiene practices, revealing that after the installation of Reverse Osmosis (RO) facilities, 97.6% reported consistent water availability. Recommendations include sustaining infrastructure usability, enhancing menstrual health education, and ensuring that maintenance of RO and sanitation systems are prioritized for long-term effectiveness.
