Impact Assessment of Eicher Motors CSR Projects

This technical report presents the impact assessment of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects undertaken by Eicher Motors Limited in the Chennai zone, specifically focusing on the Responsible Travel initiative. The report outlines key project activities aimed at enhancing community infrastructure through improved access to sanitation, water, and recreational facilities. Notable interventions included the construction of sanitation units, installation of Vayujal plants for clean drinking water, and the creation of child-friendly parks. The assessment identifies significant findings, such as the high percentage of community respondents with access to Vayujal plants and the positive impact on public health and environmental sustainability. However, it also highlights challenges, including limited access to recreational facilities and the need for better maintenance of the Vayujal plants. Recommendations for future improvements are provided, emphasizing the importance of community engagement and awareness to maximize the benefits of these projects.
