Impact Assessment Study of EGF’s CSR Support to SCEH

This report is an impact assessment study conducted by Samhita Social Ventures Pvt Ltd regarding the financial support provided by the Eicher Group Foundation (EGF) to Dr. Shroff's Charity Eye Hospital (SCEH) for the fiscal year 2021-2022. The primary focus of this support was upgrading the electrical infrastructure at SCEH, located in New Delhi, to ensure uninterrupted eye care services for all patients. The initiative, funded by a grant of INR 1.1 crore, included the installation of a new generator and transformer to enhance the hospital's operational capacity. The study utilized a mixed-methods approach, assessing various parameters such as changes in patient expenditure, frequency of power interruptions, and the quality of hospital services before and after the upgrade. Key findings indicate that the upgrade improved operational efficiency, reduced patient waiting times, and enhanced staff morale. The report also discusses compliance with pollution regulations and the challenges faced in meeting new regulatory requirements.
