This case study details the challenges and solutions faced by Surexport, a leading berry grower in Europe, in optimizing their Wi-Fi network for operational efficiency. Surexport operates a production plant in Huelva, Spain, where connectivity is crucial for the seamless operation of various automated systems, including Toyota forklifts and multiple active users. The document outlines the logistical challenges of maintaining a stable Wi-Fi connection across expansive production areas, particularly the need for effective channel management and seamless roaming between access points. To address these issues, Surexport collaborated with Ayscom, an Ekahau partner, to conduct a comprehensive site survey and health analysis of their Wi-Fi network. The findings led to recommendations for optimizing both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, which resulted in improved performance and minimized delay times. The case study emphasizes the role of Wi-Fi technology in enhancing innovation and efficiency within the berries industry.
