Copper Winding OEM Enhances Customer Experience with Movicon HMI/SCADA

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of Movicon SCADA software by Sipro, a manufacturer of copper winding machinery based in Seveso, Italy. The objective was to enhance the user experience and operational flexibility of their machines. Sipro faced challenges with their previous HMI software, which lacked graphical interfaces and limited process analysis capabilities. The Movicon platform was selected for its flexibility, scalability, and user-friendly design. The case study outlines how the software allows for rapid integration of various systems, detailed production reporting, and improved operational accountability. It also describes the system's capabilities, including data historization, recipe management, and machine user analysis. Sipro's application of the Movicon system has been extended to various industries, including automotive and food manufacturing, with plans for future enhancements such as the Pro.Lean module for OEE analysis.
