Enhancing Machine Health and Reliability in Heating Utilities

This document is a case study detailing the implementation of DeltaV™ SaaS SCADA by a large city district heating utility in Denmark, aimed at improving machine health and reliability. The utility faced challenges in managing asset maintenance and required actionable data insights for better decision-making. The solution involved acquiring and analyzing machine health data, establishing alarms with thresholds for visibility, and enabling efficient monitoring of water distribution pumps. The implementation allowed for proactive maintenance scheduling, reducing labor costs and enhancing equipment reliability. Training was provided to staff to ensure effective use of the system, resulting in improved workflow and communication across the utility. Authorized personnel gained access to actionable analytics and clearer data, facilitating better management of operations. The case study illustrates the benefits of using DeltaV SaaS SCADA Mobile for remote access to operations, contributing to a more reliable heating service for the community.
