This research report examines how business leaders in the UAE perceive the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on their lives, work, and society. The study involved interviews with 300 decision-makers across various industries, focusing on their views regarding AI's role in business, personal life, and governance. The findings reveal that AI is increasingly viewed as a societal utility, with 74% of respondents considering access to AI as essential as access to utilities like water and energy. While there is optimism about AI's potential to enhance productivity and innovation, concerns exist regarding the adequacy of current infrastructure to support AI demands. The report also highlights a gap between AI strategy and execution within organizations, with many leaders expressing uncertainty about their investments in AI technologies. Additionally, a strong desire for global regulation of AI is evident, with 97% of respondents advocating for an independent governing body to oversee AI practices. Overall, the report underscores the transformative potential of AI in the UAE and the need for strategic alignment in its adoption.
