This case study details the implementation of a Warehouse Management System (WMS) by enVista for Cook Medical Group, a medical device company. Cook Medical faced challenges due to rapid growth and changing customer demands, necessitating a scalable WMS solution. The company required a standardized approach to enhance its global distribution network across six countries while moving away from an outdated, home-grown system. enVista's expertise in the healthcare sector made it a suitable partner for this project. The selection process involved a comprehensive RFP to identify a WMS that met Cook Medical's specific needs, focusing on global applicability. The designed system emphasized meticulous traceability for inventory management, essential for compliance in the regulated medical environment. Following the implementation, Cook Medical experienced significant improvements in inventory visibility and accuracy, as well as enhanced operational efficiency for international shipments. The project culminated in a successful go-live in Bloomington, IN, in Q1 of 2018.
