This report presents a detailed analysis of the energy efficiency improvements of the EOS P3 NEXT system in comparison to its predecessor, the EOS P 396. The report categorizes energy consumption into three distinct phases: heat-up, building, and cooling, with variations based on the size of the build job and the nesting density. It includes energy consumption data from two representative build job setups, one being a standard qualification job and the other a full-sized demo job. The report provides a comparative analysis of energy usage, highlighting a 19% reduction in energy consumption for the qualification job and a 24% reduction for the demo job. Both setups utilized build times for PA 2200 with a 120µm parameter set, and the results are derived from actual job durations and measured consumption data from EOS internal laser sintering systems. The findings underscore the enhanced efficiency of the EOS P3 NEXT system.
