This case study outlines the collaboration between Equal Experts and a large online auction and classifieds website in Oceania to enhance its digital platform. The objective was to support developers in building valuable features efficiently. The project addressed challenges such as siloed working and a focus on quantity over quality in feature development. By introducing the concept of treating the Digital Platform as a product, the team shifted its mindset towards prioritization based on value. New processes and agile principles were implemented, allowing for better collaboration and communication of priorities. The results included the creation of a bespoke playbook that serves as a reference for developers, improved productivity, and a reduction in time spent on unplanned features. The project led to significant improvements in team morale and a more streamlined approach to product management, ultimately enabling the organization to deliver projects ahead of schedule and enhance overall collaboration among teams.
