The project was initiated due to the limitations of the existing legacy platform, which struggled to meet the increasing demand for tickets. Equal Experts was tasked with integrating the Priority Tickets service into O2's main Priority offering, ensuring a seamless customer experience during peak demand. The case study outlines the challenges faced, including a tight timeline of just two months to launch the new system. It describes the hybrid approach taken to manage the transition from the old platform to the new AWS-based solution while maintaining service continuity. The successful implementation allowed O2 to decommission the legacy system and introduced features such as third-party access for sponsors, enhancing the overall customer experience.
