This report presents findings from an analysis of Equalture's game-based assessments utilized in the retail and hospitality sectors. The study is based on feedback from 23,703 candidates who completed the assessments prior to any recruiter interaction. The average candidate satisfaction rating was 4.49 out of 5, with a completion rate of 79%. The data indicates that the game-based format appeals across various age groups, maintaining a narrow rating range from 21 to 60 years old. The report highlights that 87% of candidate comments were positive, with themes such as enjoyment, authenticity, and alignment with company values emerging prominently. The findings suggest that game-based assessments not only enhance candidate motivation but also contribute positively to employer branding. The report concludes that implementing such assessments can lead to higher completion rates and stronger employer brand sentiment, making them a viable alternative for improving hiring processes in these industries.
