This document is a technical report detailing an ETAP validation case focused on Harmonic Analysis (HA) as part of the ETAP Verification and Validation (V&V) program. It presents a comparison of ETAP Harmonic Analysis results against the published IEEE Standard 519-1992, specifically Example 13.1. The report outlines the methodology used for the comparison, which includes evaluating current and voltage harmonic distortion metrics such as Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), RMS, ASUM, TIF, and TPF. The document describes the industrial plant system utilized for the analysis, which is serviced from a utility transmission voltage and includes transformers, induction motors, and variable frequency drives. The results indicate that the percent deviation for all branch flows and bus voltages is less than 2%, demonstrating the accuracy of the ETAP analysis in relation to the IEEE standard. Detailed tables are included to illustrate the comparisons and deviations observed.
